Jungle Blind

Huge palm leaf drooping down in the Palm House. Abstract section of a palm frond in the Palm House at Kew Gardens. The image highlights the shape and form of the palm frond and concentrates on the contrast between the gentle curve of the stiff leaf stalk and the highly linear leaf blades.

"I was attracted to these huge palm fronds by their graphic details. The contrast between the gentle curve of the stiff leaf stalk and the highly linear nature of the leaf blades. I was also captivated by the pleats in the leaf blades which provided variations in colour tone."
