I live in the Hungarian 'puszta' in a farm. In the last years I have installed a lot of dens for birds in the nearby trees in which rollers, kestrels, starlings and the Long-eared Owl family in the picture are hatching each year. The chicks leave the nest 2 weeks before they can fly and beg for food from their parents the whole night. Sometimes their hooting is loud that it wakes me up. These birds are used to our presence the young ones can be photographed easily during the day as well, they are not afraid. The specialty of this picture is the long, 10-second exposure time that is enough to make a few stars in the sky to be seen. The birds were lit by flashlight.
