Photographing at National Trust properties (England, Wales, Northern Ireland)

The National Trust is pleased to be able to offer photographers the opportunity to take photographs at its properties for entry into International Garden Photographer of the Year..

As part of that opportunity The National Trust would like to make clear certain conditions that apply. These conditions are set out in detail in our Competition Rules. Click here to see the detailed conditions that apply.

In summary:

You must download an access contract form and model release form

Read the detailed terms and conditions carefully.

If interested in shooting at a National Trust property, you will pay for entry to the property, or if a member, show your membership card to gain access. You must obey all other standard National Trust Terms and Conditions of entry.

You must take the access contract with you to the property, and approach a member of the property staff team for them to agree and sign - before any imagery is taken if possible.

If images of people are to be taken it is the responsibility of the photographer to approach each person and get them to sign the standard model release form

You then submit your images to International Garden Photographer of the Year in the usual way.

If your image is shortlisted you will be contacted so that you can send in your completed release forms.
